This honourable appointment means that Nakia can be a driving force behind developing the Youth & Amateur pathway within Australia under the guidance and structure of WBC Muaythai. Nakia comments... "The reason I started MTL was to give back to the sport I love so much, and a responsibility like this, allows me another way to help Muaythai grow within Australia. I am excited to get to work". In 2024, MTL Development League will become sanctioned by WBC Amateur and we will be able to create more opportunities for junior and amateur fighters to stay active.

A new partnership between MTL and Samurai Sports Agency has been developed with the collective goal of providing Aussie fighters more opportunities abroad. Samurai is on the hunt for Australia's next big stars, for various international brands such as the recent K-1 ReBirth. The first opportunity of the new collaboration was Lucille who set her sights on Japan, after her successful international fight on MTL8. We look forward to sharing more opportunities which are in negotiations right now.
